CCF - Update April 2006
Greetings to you all.
We write to recommend to you the bearer of this letter and other Child Care Foundation documents, a devoted Christian as our contact person to your area on behalf of Child Care Foundation, Ghana.
The Child Care Foundation is a non-profitable community based Christian organization (CBO) founded by Bro. John B. Travis, a (32) years old Liberian Refugee, on 11 May, 2005, to help the less fortunate children in society, who by one way of the other has been affected by war, especially the Liberian Civil Crisis.
We run a Bible school for these children, on Saturdays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, followed by a meal.
Presently, we work with 100 children in this Buduburam Refugee Settlement (camp) in the areas of Education, health, spirituality, counseling, etc etc. The age group of these children range from 5 years to 18 years.
As you will see in our projects and other documents, we have had 27 children we helped to get in school in the first Term, 2005/2006 academic year. We have also processed additional Fourteen (14) Children to help them in school, totaling the number of children to Forty-one (41) in all.
